1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Finance Friend ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Finance Friend is a free, ad-supported personal finance management application that helps users track expenses, manage budgets, set savings goals, and gain insights into their financial habits. The App is developed and maintained by Vinkal.

The App is provided free of charge and is supported by advertisements served through Google AdMob.

3. User Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the financial data you enter into the App.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and the App's PIN lock.
  • You should regularly back up your data using the App's export features.
  • You must not use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
  • You must not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the App.

4. Advertisements

Finance Friend displays advertisements through Google AdMob to support the free availability of the App. By using the App, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Advertisements will be displayed during your use of the App.
  • An internet connection may be required for loading ads.
  • Ad content is provided by third-party advertisers and Google; we do not control or endorse the content of advertisements.
  • You may interact with ads at your own discretion and risk.
  • We are not responsible for any products, services, or content offered through advertisements.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, graphics, icons, and trademarks in Finance Friend are the intellectual property of Vinkal. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse-engineer any part of the App without prior written consent from the developer.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

Finance Friend is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

  • The App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free from bugs.
  • The App will meet your specific requirements or expectations.
  • The App's calculations, reports, or analysis will be 100% accurate.
  • Data stored locally will be preserved in all circumstances (e.g., device failure, accidental clearing).

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Vinkal (the developer) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the App. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Loss of data due to device failure or app clearing
  • Financial losses based on information provided by the App
  • Damages arising from third-party advertisements or linked content
  • Damages arising from unauthorized access to your device

8. Financial Disclaimer

Finance Friend provides tools for personal financial tracking and analysis only. The App does not provide financial advice, investment recommendations, tax guidance, or legal counsel. Always consult a qualified professional for financial decisions.

9. Data & Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how your information is handled, including data collected by third-party services like Google AdMob.

10. Updates & Changes

We reserve the right to:

  • Update, modify, or discontinue any features of the App at any time without prior notice.
  • Update these Terms of Service as needed.
  • Change the ad format or frequency within the App.

Continued use of the App after changes to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. Upon uninstallation, all locally stored data will be permanently deleted.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.
